Gorongosa Coffee

Do you want a chance to help restore the elephant population within the Gorongosa National Park or plant trees in the park or support the local girls school provide an education while enjoying a great cup of coffee? Then check out this story we heard about at this weeks virtual meeting of the Boise Sunrise Rotary club.

This week at our virtual meeting we had a presentation by Matthew Jordan with the Gorongosa Coffee project. He shared the journey to develop a sustainable source of coffee beans and the roasting capabilities along with distribution methods to support the famers and workers. The coffee comes in three different roast, light, medium and dark. The proceeds go to three different focus projects saving elephants, planting trees or supporting the local girls school. Matt also told us how the coffee company has partnered with a local Boise coffee roaster to roast the beans here in the US. He was excited to share the story with Rotarians and eve offered a discount for those who ordered from www.gorongosacoffee.com and use the discount code Rotary20. Check out a great way to enjoy great coffee and help support the efforts of the Gorongosa National Park in Mozambique.
